Tell us about the shoe and what inspired your design?

This pair of boots is my way of breaking my conventional norm of horror and going back to what started my career in high school- the artwork of the renaissance and medieval periods mixed with Catholicism. This pair is a catharsis for me as I enter a new chapter in my life, ‘memento mori, memento vivere’ meaning ‘remember that you must die, remember that you must live’ serving all of us a reminder to live life every day and continue to live even in our darkest moments.
